Modal Auxiliary 

Some Modal Auxiliary verb:

• Had better , Would rather, Shall, Should, Will, would ,may, Might, Can, Could, Must, Used to, Ought to,
• Have to, Has to, Had to, 
• Be supposed to(is supposed to,are supposed to, was supposed to,was supposed to) , 
• Be able to(Is able to,are able to, Was able to, were able to)
• Be about to (is about to, are about to, was about to, were ab out to)

ইত্যাদি Modal auxiliary এর পর verb এর Base form হয় ।
=> NB: Verb এর সাথে  s, es, ed, ing, to ইত্যাদি থাকলে base form হবে না

Example :

1. Feroz had better change her study habit. [CU,C3 +B1-Unit, 2016-17]

2. To check acidity, one had better use litmus paper. [DU, A-Unit, 2015-16]

3. The skiers would rather travel by train [CU,B-Unit,2015-16]

4. If you don't mind, I would rather not go. [CU,D3-Unit, 2015-16]
