Use of Infinitive

Rule 1: Know, Show , Explain , Find out এর পর verb আসলে verb এর আগে How to বসে । 

Example : 

• I know how to swim. 
• She showed me how to play cricket.

Rule 2 : That verb are always followed by infinitive ( to + base form of verb)

Agree , Aim , Desire , Intend , Pretend , Try , Fail , Afford , Demand , Manage , Plan , Refuse , Tend , Claim , Appear , Expect , Need , Prepare , Seem , Decide , Ask , Consent , Know , Offer , Learn , Promise , Hope , Would like , Wish , Want ,

Example of CLIFFS TOEFL 

• John expects to begin studying law next semester. 
• Mary learned to swim when she was very young. 
• The soldiers are preparing to attack the village.

Rule 3 : Following verb are always followed both Gerund (V+ Ing) & Infinitive.(to+verb)

Allow , Permit , Advise , Encourage , Recommend

Example : 

• They allow people to finish the work. 
•   or They allow people to finishing the work
